Denver Colorado Indian Wedding - Lyons Farmette Wedding

I have been a wedding photographer for 8 years and this was my first Indian wedding! I couldn’t believe it either, now I want all my weddings to be this colorful :)

Priya and Andrew got married at one of my favorite venues outside of Denver, Lyons Farmette in Lyons, Colorado. If you know anything about Indian weddings is that there are many beautiful traditions that start a day or days before the ceremony day. 

We started with the Mehndi ceremony in Boulder the day before which includes decorating hands and feet with henna (I even got my hand painted which I was super excited about!). Later that day was the Sangeet ceremony at Chautauqua Dining Hall in Boulder which involved lots of festive dancing, music performances and celebratory songs.

The next day was the wedding ceremony! Priya and Andrew wore more than one outfit that came all the way from India, my favorite being Priya’s red ceremony dress!
